Haris Alexiou “Cheirografo” (“Manuscript”)

For the first time, Haris Alexiou takes to the stage of a theatre to tell and sing moments from her life.

Yorgos Nanouris directs this personal music-theatre performance.

Alone on stage with a cello, an accordion and a guitar, she picks up the thread from her childhood to the present day and reveals to us how little Charikleia became Haris Alexiou.

Images, memories, words never spoken, moments of a life, treasured letters, notes, dreams, nightmares, past lives, loves, smiles, concerts, journeys, the men, the songs, the father, redemption, the wants, the musts, sweetness, laughter, memory, the earth, joy, the body, the soul, the mind, the voice.
